Arch House Booking Terms

 

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check in is between 3pm and 9pm unless by prior arrangement.

When you book you select your arrival time. As we are not operating a 24 hours reception, it is important that you keep us informed of any arrival after 9pm. Late arrivals without prior arrangement may be considered as “no shows” and risk not being admitted.

Guests arriving earlier may park in our car park from midday.

Check out is by 10.30 am.

Guests are welcome to use the car park until midday on the their day of departure.

 

CHILDREN

We regret that we are unable to accept children under 4 years of age. All children under 13 must share a room with an adult.

 

PETS

Much though we love them, we are unable to accept dogs (excepting assistance dogs) or any other pets within the property.

 

TERMS

When you book a room with us we ask for your card details and charge the cost of the first night of your stay to secure the booking. A deposit to the value of the cost of the first night of your stay will be charged to the card number supplied to us via our secure online booking system, at the time of booking.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Bookings are made and a contract between you and us comes into effect when we have received your deposit and confirmed your reservation by email.You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18yrs to make a booking.

We have a 7 day cancellation policy, which means that if you cancel all or part of your booking within this time for whatever reason - including family illness/ bad weather/ petrol strikes/ car broken down etc. your deposit becomes non- refundable.

Should you cancel within the 7 days -

1. We will make the utmost effort to re-let the room.

2. If we are not successful then your card will be debited for the full amount.

3. If we are successful in reselling the room, for all or part of your stay, then we will only charge your card for the revenue that we have lost.

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

 

PRICES

Rates are per room per night inclusive of breakfast, for the number of people agreed on the confirmation. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated).

Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown in the confirmation. Should you change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.

Prices quoted at the time of booking apply. Discounts subsequently offered online cannot be applied retrospectively.

 

AVAILABILITY

In the rare case that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot deliver your requested rooms, we will offer you alternative accommodation where possible.

 

ACCESSIBILITY

We have some easy access rooms on the ground floor, which have a step up into the shower only, but are unable to offer wheelchair access and wet rooms due to the nature of the building.

 

NON SMOKING POLICY

Arch House is a non-smoking building. As a condition of booking, if it is found that a guest has been smoking within any room then a charge of £100 (one hundred pounds sterling) will be levied to the credit or debit card used in the initial booking. This charge will be used to cover cleaning costs & any loss of income should the room not be able to be re-sold immediately after departure.

Smoking is permitted in the garden.

 

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

We reserve the right to terminate bookings immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where guests engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests or staff.

 

GROUP BOOKINGS

We reserve the right to refuse any 'same sex' group bookings, where it is found to be for 'stag' or 'hen' nights.

 

LIABILITIES

Guests leave their property in our rooms and car park at their own risk.

Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our our property by their actions, omission, default or neglect and agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make

good or remedy any such damage or loss.

 

LOST KEYS

Guests will be given keys. If they are lost or taken away and not returned, a charge will be made to your card of £25 to cover replacements.
